There was an advert for a car that had an a song from lbp, although I don't think the song was made for the game so I guess it doesn't count.

The TV show Spaced used a lot of video game music, especially stuff from Resident Evil.

I can't think of game music being used for adverts, but I know of a piece of music that became famous because it was used in a game advert. Akkadian Empire. After it featured in StarCraft 2 it's popularity skyrocketed and it was then started to be played on radio stations like Classical FM in UK and others all around the world. And then... hollywood got in the act by using it as music for an Avatar Trailer.

But it was Starcraft 2 that got the classical world's attention to it, it is produced by a group called Audio Machine and it is probably the most epic 2 minute piece of music ever.

Yeah.

My guess is that it was orinally made for C64 ,because jonathan dunn's machine of choice was the c64 .He took over from martin galway (c64 musician) at OCEAN after he left for sensible software.

It was then converted to the 128k zx spectrum and amstrad (near identical sound chips) ...And later to the GAMEBOY - Which is the version played in the advert.

Link to the c64 version of the tune.
