He was probably confused by my youthful good looks. I put that down to the moisturiser.

  • merge taxes together into one simple payment scheme e.g. Road Tax & Council Tax together

How would that work? I'm confused at what you are getting at with that.

Car drivers pay over the odds and sometimes for something which is exactly the same or similar to other taxes, By merging similar taxes into one, would make it more affordable and less confusing to existing and upcoming new drivers. In respect though, I was just using council and road tax as an example. The governement has got to divert costs more efficiently across its sector without making any more cuts to products or services that people rely on. People have been shouting Growth!! to the government and they're not listening to us.

Re: Does any actually like David Cameron?

I still have no idea what you are talking about.

While I have you here, you still haven't posted any proof that Andrew will be next in line to the throne if Charles dies before he becomes king even though you edited my post.

Do you sometimes wake up in the morning and think to yourself "Right, I'm going to post another load of complete cobblers on the internet"?

Re: Does any actually like David Cameron?

My views on the economy still stand. As for me posting rubbish, that may be true but at least I keep to the topic at hand, unlike most folk on here. The amount of crap I see on here, is more than the crap I post. :smileytongue:

Oh I've replied to that other thread about the monarch. At least I admit I'm wrong unlike you guys who sit there insulting me.

Re: Does any actually like David Cameron?

They are just jealous.

Although combinging taxes is pretty silly, There are multiple tax offices in Ireland at least, that should be merged into one automated system. Car tax/TV licence/Income tax/Household charges, should be able to be handled by one department in this day and age, where its all automated anyway and the reasons for creating seperate departments are largely just historic now.

If our governments were shrewd with cuts we would probably barely notice them, there is so much wastage in every are from nhs to education to the government systems themselves that there is probably billions doing absolutley nothing every year.

When they make wide sweeping cuts but a lot of the waste seems to survive the cuts, it drives me bonkers.
