They didn't change because of that. Example. On my Slim I use a non official HDD in the USB of the PS3. So unofficial stuff still works fine.
But you can only use two unofficial accessoire at a timehowever offical ps3 controllers dont need a usb stick so you can use 4 of them
I use a USB ( Unofficial ) 4 in 1 USB Adapter, that can then allow me to use more than two unofficial accessories?
But there is a maximum power usage, so you won't be able to have loads of devices in at once, because there won't be enough power coming from the power supply to run the operating system and all of the devices.

True. ( Even though the Adapter can use it's own power supply ) Yet it still allows me to charge 2 controls while using 2 x HDD ( as example )

You better point that out to CCP then as DUST 514 will be using Forward Compatibility.
If you thought about it, claiming to be compatible with something that doesn't even yet exist is utter nonsense.
All they can ever claim is that future versions of their product will be made to be backwards compatible, if indeed the technology even supports it.
CCP developer have claimed forwards compatibility ( not backwards compatibility ) with future Sony consoles, and whatever the next generation of PlayStation that will be released in the future. They must know what they mean otherwise they would have revealed it as backward compatibility.
But only time will tell if Sony takes the Forward Compatibility once step further ( Or even MS for that matter ) with ( lets call it ) the 720. Speculation on what might be coming to PS4 is one thing, but CCP developer has revealed ( their version ) of Forward Compatibility for the PlayStation brand.

Even the "evidence" that you posted even goes against what you're saying.

LittleBigDragonz wrote:EVE Online developer CCP has revealed that the PlayStation 3 tie-in shooter DUST 514 will not only be forward compatible with future Sony consoles, but will allow crossplay between the PlayStation 3 and whatever the next generation of PlayStation will be released in the future.
According to CCP CEO Hilmar Pétursson, “If there is a PlayStation 4 – which I can tell you now I have no idea if there is – but if there was, we would build Dust for that console as well. It will most likely be a revision of the experience, as with all updates, and could allow people to play across PS3 and 4.”
DUST 514 is intended to work in concert with EVE Online, which has presented the publisher with some challenges. "We have been faced with technology upgrade challenges for years. We release new versions of EVE at a time when most people don’t have the technology to support it, so we operate both the old and new versions of EVE on the same client and allow people to migrate," explained Pétursson.
“We will continue to develop on PlayStation 3 even after the release of Dust, and I think the game’s audience is more used to constant updates than people may assume. I mean, if you look at Call of Duty, that essentially is an online experience that has undergone mass migration across three games,” he added.
DUST 514 is due to be released this Spring on the PlayStation 3, and will give EVE Online players the ability to engage directly in ground combat during territorial wars.
What this shows is Forward compatibilty is real. ( in some shape or form ) What this shows is developers are using forward Compatibility for furture consoles. ( in some shape or form ) What is speculation is if the Forward Compatibilty that's been pointed out here ( http://www.ps4talk.com/will-the-ps4-have-forward-c

Read what I highlighted.

As your last post had nothing to do with ( Speculation of PS4 ). IE = " Christ, I bet you also believe 9/11 was an inside job." that was enough for me to stop responding.
So did you miss the part that I highlighted then?

Of corse games are still going to be made for PS4 ( like pointed out by CCP ) and it's DUST 514 PS3 game.

But with Forward Compatibility it COULD mean even better online and offline support than ever before for our gaming. For both old and NEW games.
SOOoooo at the end of the day Until PS4 is here it's still speculation on Forward Compatibility. ( Even though CCP has shared their views on it and how they will implement it for the PS4 )

What the crap are you talking about.
YOu sarted this off, saying that according to the rumour, the PS4 will play PS3 in an enhanced state. You then quoted this article as 'proof', however it clearly states that they will build a seperate version to run on the PS4. Therefore, it does not fit the definition of Forward compatability you gave a couple of pages ago.

No i started of with the following..
" Thankfully, we're still in the rumor and speculation phase, no point stressing over what might never be eh? "
This.
I can't see Sony going backwards with the next gen console. Yeah there might be a few things removed form the console that will upset people, but stuff will be added too that console to make up for the losses ( if there ever was a loss to start with ).
Backwards compatibility seems to keep popping up ( or lack of ), well maybe there isn't going to be this feature. Maybe a newer feature will be available ( Forward Compatibility ) " Forwards Compatibility is the ability for the PS4 to play PS3 games at a vastly improved level ". Ever thought of that?
And if the next gen console doesn't play second hand games, that means that ( Online game passes ) will no longer be needed doesn't it. You only need the pass to play games online that are not new to you. lol.
Can you see the game companies doing away with online passes? for second hand games. I can't see that happening myself if being honest. They will lose even more money than they do nowadays.
...
ALL Speculation about PS4 including the links view ( as well as my own ) about Forward Compatibility..
.
.
Now the reason why i posted this to someone " you better point that out to CCP then as DUST 514 will be using Forward Compatibility." is because someone posted " There is no such thing as forward compatibility " So i was pointing out that in fact CCP are using F-Compatibility in future PlayStation brands.
