Re: Facebook "Charge to post"

What's funny is Google started off as a search and advertisement company yet their social network Google+ doesn't sell all your info and then some to fellow advertisers :smileyvery-happy:

Your right, it is for people who wanna promote their posts, but how long do you think it'll be before we start paying for all our posts in general or possibly our page for that matter. If they want Facebook to succeed more than they're doing now, there going the wrong way about it. Part of what drew people to the site was down to the free access and a more freedom of communication.

When you say 'succeed' do you mean in terms of the number of users and the volume of high quality information that they exchange, or in a commercial sense for their soon-to-be shareholders?

Re: Facebook "Charge to post"

So let me get this straight.
Facebook sells your info, advertises on the side of the page, advertises in your news feed and now they are looking to raise cash by having people pay to p*** of their friends.
I wonder what they'll think of next.
You can't save time only spend it.

But you do have human rights that facebook must respect, and one of them is the human right not to be annoyed.

That would mean I have the right to shoot the cats that poop in my gardens.

That reminds me, the grass is knee height out there now because my lawn mower broke last summer and I'm waiting for my mate to bring me his petrol mower round that he said I could have because he moved house and doesn't have a lawn anymore.

Re: Facebook "Charge to post"

I would hate to see all my posts stuck to the bottom of the page cos' of my university friends probably bying credits to promote their comments. I'm poor, so I kinda see where my posts will be heading... down south :smileysad: Facebook are already reaping a huge profit from the social site, so I don't get why they need to do these Facebook trials to us. So is it my human right to drown my neighbours grandkid because he annoys the *beep* out of me?

It would seem the right to life cancels that out :smileysad:
