Compared to 6.0.2 it feels even quicker. I had a small issue with slowdown, but it seems to be non existant in this version.
Also had a play with Nightly 9.0a and that was quicker again. Just lack of support for the addons I use. No biggy

Speeding up their release cycle, new version every 6 weeks with new features instead of taking ages over just one release. New features come faster.

Yeah, dont do a full bump unless you have a major overhaul.
features or bug fixes are only supposed to get .1, and 0.1 bumps.
I wouldnt be surprised if the stick on 7 until win8 comes out and then launch a firefox 8.

8 will be out well before the end of the year, by the time Windows 8 lands we'll probably be on Firefox 12/13.
