Because of its nature, GD is a fast moving board. To help you out with posting here, we've put together a few guidelines which you should follow when posting. Taking heed of these will help you and us keep this board tidy, interesting and thought provoking.

• GD is a place for discussing almost anything. Our House Rules still apply here, read them now.


• POSTING IN CAPS IS RUDE AND IS THE WRITTEN EQUIVALENT OF SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF YOUR VOICE. Don't do it or our community will shun you.


• Many of the posts here in GD refer to real-world news - always link to the source of any topic of discussion.


• We enjoy hearing about your life experiences, if you've got a difficult decision ahead of you or need advice - our community will often help you out. But please, don't post any real names, personal information or pictures of anyone.


• '+1' Contributes nothing to a discussion and is looked on as spam by the moderators. Post your thoughts on a post, not a meaningless nod to it.


• Please respect the privacy of other members and don't discuss their bans. If you have queries about moderation, contact a mod. But be aware that we cannot discuss a user account with anyone other than the owner of that account.


• If you spot a thread or post that makes you angry, Watch this, make yourself a cuppa, have a bit of cake but whatever you do - don't post. You wont be adding anything contructive or valuable to a discussion by posting when angry, so chill out a bit and come back later.


• If you spot something that breaks our House Rules, report it to a mod.
