HD Freeview

Hello.

I've been looking into getting a HD Freeview box for the world cup, i can't afford Sky HD or whatever so i've opted for the HD Freeview. I've been in store many times, Currys, Comet and Dixons and not one store has them in but they said you can order it online and they'll send it to the shop.

I do have a question though and it's, will i be able to watch HD from the box before the digital switchover ? The man in the shop today didn't have a clue what he was on about. I do realise there's only about 3 HD channels on it at the moment but i'm ok with that. I'm just wondering if i'll be able to watch the world cup on BBC and ITV this year. The switchover where i live isn't til 2011.

Thanks.

Yes you'll be able to watch it in full HD glory and you needn't worry about the switch over. :smileyhappy:

Yeah Freeview HD isn't available everywhere, but Freesat HD is.

Re: HD Freeview

It will be out of date when the 3d freeview launches :smileyindifferent:

Re: HD Freeview

Yeah it will be fine, although it's limited, expensive and you'd probably be better with Freesat HD if that's an option.

Re: HD Freeview

Freesat you need a box (£100+) then the installation kit (£50) and then installation itself (£80)
