Can someone help me?I just purchased a hdmi cable but am getting no sound,im new to all this could someone please help.Thanks

Make sure your PS3 is set to allow audio through the HDMI port.

ive set it up through hdmi but when it goes to set up the screen goes blank for 15 seconds and then im back to square one

is you cable v1.3 compatible?

when you say the screen goes blank for 15 seconds are you remembering to change the av selection on your tv to the HDMI channel? You haven't left it on the scart channel on your tv?

Im not trying to be funny here, but what you trying to get at? A faulty cable?

All HDMI cables including v1.0 will work, they will just not support some features like deep colour.

All HDMI cables including v1.0 will work, they will just not support some features like deep colour.

I (and i presume a lot of others on here) are going to stop responding to you, as you insist on jumping down peoples throats.

I bought a 1.2 cable (by mistake) and it does not work with my PS3 and TV. There is continuity between the connections - so there are no breakages - and yet its as if there is no cable connected. This is my experience, you cannot sit in isolation and state what has or has not happened in my house.

Or, you could listen to me. A HDMI cable which is v1.0 works with the PS3 at full 1080p. So the v1.2 cable you have is faulty/dodgy.

Thats not me jumping down peoples throats, thats me telling people that you dont actually need v1.3.
