I like the memorials with horses too.  As they all have meanings depending on how many feet are on the ground or raised and which way the guy on top is facing.

I beleive you maybe wrong oh mighty one as far as i know its an urban myth that the horses position means something, its just how the statue was commissioned, think it was on QI

Hawky informed me of that too.  I didn't realise it was just a myth, I always thought it made a great story and whenever I saw them made me smile.

Are you 100% sure it's just an old wives tale? I'm still pretty sure at least some of them have meaning like King Charles I looking in the direction of where his head got the chop.
