Its a felony charge, Unlike here that means even the person filming can be charged with assault. A guy down the road from me was kicked to death by a gang and they got away with it cause there was no way to prove who killed him. In America everyone gets given the murder or assault charge.
They may do a deal to avoid a felony charge, they may pay the kid, say sorry, do community service etc, because the punishment for a felony charge is you go to jail and become a convicted felon, which means you will immediatley be barred from some jobs, welfare, voting, wont be able to get a lot of legal documents, and deported if not a full us citizen and life will generally be hard for them.
Its with this in mind that they often try to avoid felony charge for kids where they think it was young kids doing something stupid.
Either way, Everyone knows who these kids are now, and they will find things hard, and karma will be served.

They had been calling the guy racist names on youtube afterwards, cause he is only new to America. They were mainly asians, and the attack happend in china town.
I assume, unless this behaviour is tolerated by the asian community, Ill assume its not, so Ill assume life will be made hard for all their families, They all took down their facebook profiles, and Im pretty sure every one of their friends and families know exactly what they said and did.
I have seen social justice sway from "meh" to outrage and its hard to say when or why or how that swing takes place, Hopefully its appropriate.

I saw a video of a girl claiming to be the main culprits ex girlfriend. She was saying there was a reason for it. There is no reason for what did they did though, the girl talks nonsense.

yeah they are claiming he was in another gang or something, but then made fun of him being fresh off the boat, and not knowing english..
So it dosent make much sense.
I can tell you with certainty the guy is harmless, he didnt even throw a punch, A gang member would have fought them back how ever fruitless it would be.

A guy down the road from me was kicked to death by a gang and they got away with it cause there was no way to prove who killed him--That shouldnt of been the case if someone is murdered by a group of people they will all go down for life (anyone involved with a murder will be charged aslong as they know they were involved regardless of who kicked the person the most. In America everyone gets given the murder or assault charge. -----Same as the UK
