Re: Hole in exhaust

Hmmm, if you are a girl then I strongly advise you not to medle in matters such as exhausts and other things beyond your comprehension.

It can only end in disaster, back away and let a man in to do the job, and try never to be tempted by ideas above your station ever again.

If you feel the urge to medle again, might I suggest you distract yourself from the ludicrous notion that you know what you're talking about by doing the pots or some other domestic jobs that need doing.

lol

I'm joking, ignore me.

Re: Hole in exhaust

lol Mike.

Well, you know, I think it important that we never allow another 90's girl-power movement to happen again.

And this starts right here by nipping things in the bud before they get out of control.

It starts with exhausts, and the next thing you know we're taking it up the bum and cooking dinner with a pinny on.

NO.

Repel these evil intentions now. Stand together...or stand...by the sink washing pots.

I'm making a banner quick.

Re: Hole in exhaust

I hate the exhaust on my car!

Every section has gone on it....front, middle, back. Gonna get it completely replaced on payday...until then, I can be heard coming from MILES away.

Why not just weld it up?

Re: Hole in exhaust

I'll be the first to offer a sensible answer:

Unfortunately modern exhausts contain a high tin concentration, this makes i tharder to weld the holes up like you could in the old days. Depending on where it is you could always get some exhaust putty and mesh but eventually you're going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new one (if the exhaust is in sections you should be able to just replace that section).

Despite having many talents, welding isn't one of them.  Next door neighbour fixed it up to get through the MOT but it's back to square one again now.
