Holidays.

Just got back from mine at four thirty this afternoon, I did a weeks caravaning in Filey.

It was pretty awesomely epic and I got a cracking deal too.

Weather was great, I have a nice tan, only thing that wasn't cool is that they don't have the internet over there...bit of a bummer as I couldn't keep in touch with you people.

I would have liked to stay for longer or even took a job there and settled down but I forgot that I'd left my kids at home, so as much as hated it I had to come home and feed them.

Anyhow........

Where are you going for your jollies this year?

(I highly recomend Filey and Bridlington area, top notch)

Re: Holidays.

It's great up in Brid.

You can do a week on the North Beach, and then a few days on the South Beach too. Good 10 day holiday.

Re: Holidays.

Caravanning holiday? Desperate times I guess.

I was always dragged along on caravanning holidays when I was younger with my parents. How does one even ENJOY a caravan holiday?

1. Use your tiny toilet with no leg room, or use the public ones on site

2. Use your tiny shower that drips out your water and you can't have a full one because the water comes from a big bottle and is limited, or use the public ones on site

3. Awnings. DON'T EVEN GO THERE.

4. Camping food and camping cooking facilities in your tiny weeny caravan. Just impossible to work with.

5. The beds. Fine for sleeping on for 1 night, but not a week.

6. Caravans are cold, and they just leak in the rain.

7. Shops on site don't sell things you can use in a caravan/tent. They only sell EVERYTHING you could only possibly use at home.

Please, don't go on caravan holidays, because they aren't a holiday at all. Stay at home and you'd have a much more relaxed time, or go use a holiday home/chalet.

Or better yet, go abroad and get a real tan, not one from a tube.

Re: Holidays.

Got back from Gran Canaria a few weeks back. Not sure where else this year, but will end up taking the tent somewhere in the UK later in the year.
