In fairness, Gamesradar missed a trick here.
They should have calculated the CoD DLC by toting up every CoD game and item of DLC after Modern Warfare, considering it's basically the same game puked back up again.
Still amazing that most gamers will pay this much for their game of choice, as with everything though, if you spoon feed the masses little bite sized items they'll never realise how much they're being ripped off until it's too late.

Some dlc is essential to purchase like map packs for fps games.
But things like extra cars or skin packs aren't really necessary but can be fun.
I suppose the advantage is the dlc is optional rather than forced.
Why are map packs essential? No DLC is essential.

Well I was kinda shocked to see that some 1st party sony titles were in the that list.... hey if some others are doing it why not? and it just goes to show that even the company which smiles the most at its customers might not be smiling because they like and respect you as a valued customer.. (like how its supposed to be seeing as without the customer no campany can exist), maybe they're smiling because they only see £signs, yeah maybe they're on LSD and see £signs instead of people
Here's the thing though.. it kinda puts me off the brand, just as it put me off EA sports and Activision, then you have guys like THIS Who really just shouldn't be in the gaming industry, He's be more suited to working for Bane Capital where the whole idea is to take smaller companies and re-work them to max out profits, ride that gravy train for a while then pull the rug out and cash in on the companies demise.
Sure microtransactions are a good idea to make money, if your whole game is simply MAXIMIZING profits.. but where's the customer relations in that?, there is barely any or like usual, there's none, except for the smile they surely will have at the amount of people willing to pay up real money for crap like "hairstyles pack" etc. Eventually more and more custormers will just get sick and tired of being mugged like a dumb kid waving a £100 around as he's walking through a rough street at night, and the company will end up in the eDumps.
Some angry gamers out there who are savvy enough, and has a spare 20 in their wallet might even collectively want to crash the market on EA and others who do this crap to gamers . of course - throw up lots of put options so they can now make some money as EA take a nose dive hahaha, just to teach them a lesson for all their years of milking the gamers and treating them like idiots.
Most of the crap they offer would have been obtained via cheat codes in the past,, how many games allow you to use cheat codes thesedays?
A big question of mine is How much content is actually on the 25GB or 50GB bluray disc that's "locked" up until you buy it. Maybe the apparent slow download speeds a lot experience on PSN is a way in attempt to cover that you're not really downloading anything, but instead ripping and installing locked content from the disc?
