I am basing my written essay around Safe Sex Awareness so audience are aware of diseases rather than just unwanted pregnancy. With my extended essay I am struggling on how to talk about it and also, explore and refine my ideas in the visual project and create a decent outcome. But I need to write an essay and compare advertisments i.e NHS, TBWA and United Colors of Benetton and do not know how to break it down and how to go about it.
Here is the brief...
Extended Essay
An extended piece of writing on a topic of your choice, produced in the “traditional” essay format.
This option allows you to produce a longer piece of writing about a topic that is of special interest to you and which ties in critically or contextually with your design work. The key to a successful Extended Essay is formulating a good topic and essay question.
The topic you choose does not need to be directly about your chosen design area. However, there should be a link so that the research for the Written Project informs and provides the context for your practice. The two need to be considered together. The subject of your Major Written Project might inspire, inform and/or influence your design work.
As each topic will be unique to each student there are no set contents, however, your Extended Essay should be:
- 3,500-4,000 words long
- open with an Introduction
- have several core chapters
- have a proper Conclusion
- have a full Bibliography
- have good quality illustrations, captioned and numbered.
- be fully referenced using the Harvard system.
Referencing and citation
You should use the Harvard system throughout
Please can anyone help? (No stupid answers.) Thanks.

Unprotected sex can lead to unwanted pregnancy. In the worse case scenario this can lead to marriage.
Scare the kids straight that's what I say.

I agree. It's kind of cheating to be honest and wouldn't be deserving of the points/grade.
Research, yes, but getting other people to help you as a young adult, no.(Unless you have learning difficulties and need help in college with a teachers assistant or something, but you know what I mean)
Just write out a brainstorm and go from there.
