I fell

So a few weeks ago I was at a party at a mate's house and we were messing around on the trampoline (I know, childish huh?) and I decided to try out something I'd been wondering about for a while. You know in some games when you're in mid air you can manoeuvre yourself around and move in the air? Well, I decided to test it out for real. :Stupid:

I went to one side of the trampoline and built up the height of the jumps and when I reached what I thought it was enough to properly test this concept I jumped forward, aiming for the other side.

Immediately I realised that I'd jumped too far and I tried to stop myself but instead ended up kicking the edge and tipping horizontally. Obviously at this point I was thinking of four-letter words and just before the ground hit me I remembered to turn my head to the side so it didn't get mashed. :SadWitch: As all good friends do mine laughed and jeered and one literally fell off laughing. :smileymad:

So now sometimes when I'm lying on my left and release the pressure there's a sharp pain as if the ribs are poking into something. :smileysad: Whadda you guys think of my terrifying experience? Fen the master of biophysical knowledge I need your advice again.

(Sorry I couldn't stab myself with a bread knife Warren but I have this strong desire to not cause myself any more pain than necessary.)

Re: I fell

sounds funny. I also think you should have tried to double jump.

Re: I fell

You could have broken some ribs, my mate did last year and it took a while before the pain got really bad and he went to the hospital to get an Xray. Not much they could do for him apart from pain killers, he was in agony for weeks.

I laughed at him because he was as daft as you, he had a drunken fun fight with his three grown up sons who are all big.

Re: I fell

And this is why you should never repeat stuff in games :smileytongue: . Did you have it checked?

I had a similar experience on a bike a couple of years ago, the bolt on the seat sheared off while I was sitting on it and I just suddenly fell off the back of the bike.

ouchy, a tra-map-o-line related injury, those things sucks. tis a weapon made by the devil in the guise of a toy. can never ben too careful with things like that, especially if its still hurting. unlike heartbreak which is supposed to just hurt, like, forever.

i remember when i was a kid, trying to see how far i could bike with my eyes closed. it went well until i biked into a parked mini and somersaulted onto it. people came running out of the house thinking it was a nasty accident. i just laughed, picked my bike up and off i went.
