hey guys. i got 2 150gig hdd's in my pc and the c drive in full. the d drive has 150gig but im not sure what to do now. do i need to change any settings to make drive d the main one for say if i download something. please help but talk in plain english, not borg.......

Im not sure on it myself but you could always move things over to it like i did,music and things.

By moving just my music i saved 11gb,then i moved pictures and movies i had over aswell and it gave me well over 20gb of space left

lol, i must have been reading your mind mate. thats exactly what im doing now. just moved my music and iv just freed up 60gig......sorted !!!. cheers anyway buddy.........

My laptop (250 gig hard drive) is split into two different hard drives

Their about 110 odd each, but ones almost full

So should I just move over stuff like Music, movies etc?

Yeah,but if your using itunes then you will need to change the music location in the settings otherwise you will have to go locate the files when you want to listen but you can clear itunes then just add the folder and it will add it all at once.

If you're using Vista create a folder in D with your user name, move all green the folders in C:\Users\<user name>\ to D:\<user name>\.  Open <user name> from the start menu, if there are two copies of every folder, delete the yellow ones and keep the green ones.  If I've remembered that correctly you should have freed up a considerable amount of space and any new files put in any of your user folders will go on to D.  Although I like the addition of user folders, it was a hell of alot easier to do that on 2k/XP.
