I'm thinking of quitting my job and moving to Australia

I have been in my Job for 4 yrs and am getting very bored, my girlfriend has just finished her training to be a fitness instructor so now would be the best time, i think!!

I have real reservations about whether i should go, mainly on what the circumstances would be if i came back, would i be able to get a job?? would i have somewhere to live? would i like it out there, would i find work?? So many things to consider and im getting really confused about the whole thing.

My gf wants to leave asap (feb) and this is putting a strain on our relationship as i am more sensible and want to really think about it. Should i just go??Arrrrrrghhhh

Watch a film called 'revelutionary road' with kate winselet and leonardo de caprio, it is almost exactly waht you are describing.

Even if you said yes im moving in february it is to soon.

Heres why.

You'll need special visas and permits to work there unless you have family there, australia is very strict about this.

And that takes longer than you think compared to anywhere else. but just make a list of pros and cons.

And have a moving back plan just in case. Respect respect 048 Smiley

thanks, we have researched all this, it'll take roughly 6 weeks to get a visa, and we have read thru all requirements to get one.:smileysad:

My life is mundane at the mo tbh. I think the PS is taking up too much of my spare time.

I'm an NVQ Lv3 Mason, and skilled people is what they like out there! tbh my missus has done all the thinking, I'm thinking that something like this would take a yrs planning at least, she wants to do it in 4 months:smileyindifferent:

edit: oh btw we have a friend out there, so this is not just a random pin in a map job.
