Re: I so wish i could drive like this

I love the modifications made to his Ford Fiesta, looks like a bad ass machine to drive, sucks that the car has such a crappy color scheme. Still, an enjoyable video nonetheless.. I wonder how much does Monster waste with this guy.

It's the Monster rally car, the colour scheme is the sponsor colours and it's the car the Monster team has signed him up to drive in WRC and Rally America. There are no modifications made to it, the chassis is about the only thing in common with the Ford Fiesta it is based on. Everything else is seperately designed, if you have about £500,000 in spare cash then they might even make one for you. I remember Team Peugeot, Team Citreon, Subaru and Mitsibushi made their WRC cars to order after a season had finished for those willing to pay and they all costed at the half million mark. I don't think there are many people who can drive that would not want one, I remember a group of us went to Cardiff for the Shakedown and some girls who watched our footage on the mobile phones said they wanted a go in cars that can do this lol :smileyhappy:

I am aware of that...still an horrible color scheme to be honest. Well not the colours themselves but the way they are represented on the livery.

For common understanding, I rather leave it as a modified Ford Fiesta (chassis). :smileywink:

That's pretty cool I remember reading about it somewhere (probably Top Gear's needs feed on Facebook or something), half a million dollars is quite a bit for me but hey, I would prefer 4-5 rally cars over a Bugatti Veyron anyday.

Yes, you can't beat the class and sophistication of an Impreza that sounds like the exhaust system has fallen off.

A Veyron is AWD, I wonder what would happen if you gutted one, raised the car with off road suspension and chucked it on an off road course :smileyvery-happy:

@ projectVRD's editing.
Lol yes it could do with a trim. I bet your version would be a more "comfortable" watch.

I would like to see one of these vids as a 'one shot' no cuts or editing, say 4 different cam angles on screen at once, ok maybe the 'environmental' angle could cut from one to the next. Something akin to the paris ferrari (i think) video from a few years back.

Didnt know that about TP potentially playing with the big boys.
Thats why I used to love watching the Legends of Motorsport (think thats what they were called?) events. Not sure if they still do them now :-( ?

It would be great to see all these guys from all bits of the motorsport world, battling it out on different surfaces etc.

No but you can clearly beat the poor handling and looks of a Bugatti Veyron and actually be able to drive outside the highway.

The most likely scenario would be everything start falling apart :Stupid:

Re: I so wish i could drive like this

I remember reading about the Legends, it's a shame that sponsors were the ones who stopped that by telling the drivers they had to stop attending so they could advertise their respective discipline. I am wondering it if the same Legends we are talking about... the one where F1 drivers were against WRC drivers against Nascar drivers against Indy drivers?

And yup, I suppose the Veyron would fall apart to some extent. Would still be funny seeing the thing spend4 seconds going nowhere at the start line because the wheel are spinning to fast lol
