What's the point in that?
The constitution does not apply in airports, its international territory, you only get basic human rights, you dont have the right to remain silent, you dont have the right to phone a lawyer, these rights are returned to you when you enter US soil, but not at the security for travellers.
As for your rights while in America, Who cares. They wouldnt dare breech the rights of a european.

For when he's in america of course... oh and i didn't know that the airports were considered international territory.
they do breach the rights of europeans though, and anyone else the see fit. Its been discussed about some guy getting deported from the UK or something before and you had replied to that thread... At least i think so anyway.

Also a good idea is to have your luggage locked, this way the TSA cannot dip your items and snoop at your silky Y-fronts etc.
If the TSA want to go through your luggage they'll simply break the locks. You can get TSA-friendly padlocks (where they have a master key) to avoid that.
I didnt think they had the right to destroy your property like that, that's a bit shocking to be honest.

Yeah its international territory, well any international airport is, thats how they have duty free zones, and they can refuse you entry into america without you having the right to call a lawyer etc.
National airports only dealing with flights inside the country would not be international territory.
And my second comment was just light hearted, I know they will breech peoples rights, but I dont think knowing your rights stops them, you just know its happening when you know your rights lol.

If there is any possibility of terrorism then the authorities have the right to do pretty much what they feel like.

tsa and all custom forces around the world can destroy any of your property they want to. They can sieze your property if they want to and they dont need a warrant.
Customs can actually drive to your house and search it without a warrant too, they can copy your hard drives, destroy your hard drives, smash a TV right infront of you.
If your bag is too secure and something suspicious in it, they will just cut it open, and selotape it back together and send it out to you. You wont be able to get a new bag out of them. They will just tell you to get lost.
The information they get can only be used in custom cases though, they cant get the information and give it to the police or fbi unless the police and fbi are investigating the customs case, as the police need a warrant for criminal matters.

I know the Customs people in the UK can enter and search your property without a warrant and seize items, I'm not so sure they are allowed to smash the place up.

I added that bit on, cause I like the idea of them being able to smash peoples houses up.
But as far as I know they can destroy "contraband", take your car away and crush it, smash open bottles of stuff, pour stuff down the drains, burn stuff, they nearly never do, they just hold you to ransom.
I assume if you prove later it wasnt contraband youll get all the money back.

I impose very similar rules on anyone who visits my house...
