...to have a proper laugh around here.

Some people have either got really delicate sensibilities or they're are just being plain vindictive. Just look at the way Dom's gotten a perma ban, and over what, a bit of innuendo. For one reason or another it's becoming to hard to just have a laugh.

EDIT: I know this thread will get deleted now for mentioning a ban but I don't give a toss.

I think we all know who is doing most of the reporting to get people banned around here. It's going to be a pretty dead forum if things continue as they have been. It's not as if there is a whole lot of other interesting discussion here if you get rid of the stuff that pushes the boundaries a little is it?

A discussion forum needs life, not the ruthless application of rules.

I'm not entirely sure how it works myself. Whether you need to be reported by someone or whether the mods just see something then do something about it. but if it is a case of having to be reported before any action can be taken - then there's some people floating around this forum that have gone a bit power mad with the report button.

I am making this post and then will lock this thread as debating this topic over and over is rather pointless.

There are a few points.

1. A certain person who is referred to as making reports has also been dealt with, whilst I cannot comment on individual reports/bans etc I can say that many time you have been wrong about said person and they had no influence on today's actions.

2. If you have received numerous warnings for posting unsuitable material, sexually explicit comments, swearing, foul language, trolling, baiting etc etc and have already served a ban and/or are on a final warning then you have no one to blame but yourself and must live with the consequences. I have seen many, many comments from today, last night and from the past few days which have either been removed or had to removed regardless of whether they where reported or not. Also if warnings are sent via PM and also posted in GD numerous times there is no excuse for this continued behaviour.

3. These forums are for people of all ages and so the content mentioned above is not suitable for these boards - its is pointless to argue these facts. There are message boards elsewhere without moderation which are more suitable for such material. Sony PlayStation forums are not the place for some of the many threads/posts which have been removed.
