Late night forumming!

For you night owls, check out f.lux.

It is awesome! Try it and find out.

Interesting program. How easy is it to temporarily disable?
You can't save time only spend it.

Open up the pop up on your task bar, and you can disable it for an hour. Other than that I don't know what else.

Re: Late night forumming!

The easiest of easy. It has a one click, one hour temporary disable. Or a flick on/off button. Piece of cake. Super clean and lightweight software. PC Mac and Linux.

I didn't think it would make that much difference, until i switched back to normal and seared my retinas!

It is amazing.

Re: Late night forumming!

When I say on/off, really you can just close the program and it's off.

"It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better. "

Interesting, I'll give ti a go...

Re: Late night forumming!

My display is frequently too bright at night, even with it on the lowest settings, so this could be useful.

Re: Late night forumming!

Its more to do with the colour of the light, White light is hard on your eyes, and blue light prevents/affects your melatonin which regulates your internal body clock.

By reducing these two your bodys internal clock wont get confused and should continue to work correctly despite sitting at a screen.

It varies from person to person how much light will affect them, some people need special sad lights for winter etc.
