So this is just a quick little tiny post to share with you all my annoyance about my illness IBD inflammatory bowel disease! I'm sure everyone will share the same feelings as me when I say this! Blood Work! Everytime, I go to my consultant I have to get blood work, I visit him sometimes three times a week sometimes more it depends on when he wants to see me.
What is blood work? It's the American way of saying getting blood done, I'm so small for my age and my skin is so pale you can't see my veins, so when they stick the butterfly clip into my arm to try and get my blood they keep missing! Like no joke! My veins just hates me and it makes me get poked in the arm with this needle about 5 times! What makes matters worse is that if the nurse misses she attempts to wiggle the needle and vein around trying to get it in and it feels so strange and hurts most of the time! And yes, when I need to go into hospital for a day to get fluids, its the same thing! Only with a bigger needle called a ''Line'' that lets them put drips into you, can you imagine this thing being poked into you like five times? Happens to me and it hurts =(! So never get IBD guys if you have bad veins and pale skin! Forget about all the cramps, going to the restroom in urgency that becomes less annoying than the blood work! ^.^. And it does not help that I leave with a big blue bruse at the end of it all ^-^
Grrrrr!

IBD? Never heard of that, but I have IBS. Can't drink a bit of coke without me on the loo straight after. Even things like chicken set me off.
So many things have been cut out of my diet since I was diagnosed as a teen.
I also have a problem with blood tests. My veins just don't give out enough blood, and the most I've been poked with a blood needle is 9 times, where she ended up trying right on the outer bone of my wrist, and managed to eventually get enough. God that hurt! I cried, and it's hard to make me cry from pain.
I'm very thin skinned etc. due to anaemia.
I often have to have like 1-2 blood tests a week sometimes when they wanna pester me for bloods, because if they can't get blood they tell me to come back another day of the week.
Oh and I also bruise well ![]()
Also have many other medical problems, including mental illness ![]()

know your feel bro. Eventually you'll only need blood tests every 3 months or so. They're basically checking to see your white blood cells (among a lot of other stuff) is ok and your liver is functioning fine. I', guessing you're on Aziothyropine (sic) its a good idea to eat something before you take them and do so befor you go to bed as they make you feel sick for a few months.
I'm on Asacol, Ferrous Fumarate, Natecal, and Lansoprazole. And your right, I guess its better to get looked after than to not get looked after. And sorry to hear that Elfen =(
