How would you propose doing that in practice?

How do you expect to tax people based on their weight?

Give us how you would do it!

Re: New tax could be introduced

[ Edited ]

^ Don't think that' proposal is possible,  maybe proved wrong though, but Im all for at airports they should take peopl;es weight into consideration when boarding a flight, is it fair that big fat mama is allowed to take on the same weight in luggage as perhaps wee slim jim,

I say where weight is important, like aircraft poss even buses and trains if technology is put in place to weigh people before boarding . Fatties use more fuel and energy in the struggle to take them to their destination!

Tax the fatties.com:Thumbs:

edit

maybe even get them to pay more in shops and things coz they for e.g Cause more wear and tear on escuators, lifts etc

Obviously Fattie detecting technology would have to be put in plac, so slim healthier people could then enjoy even cheaper goods as fatties would kinda subsadise us non fatties (soz if your a fattie and dinnae give me that glandular nonsense) anyway you shouln't even be here sat on your butt reading this, away n get some excercise:smileytongue:

Just wanted to say that Being heavy doesn't necessarily mean that a person is fat. Also wheres the borderline are we taxing over weight people are those who are obese.

I'm overweight. So Id rather they did it on fat percent then weight. I have a pretty high fat percent like I dunno, 10% so anything higher than 12% is cool with me.

Yeah I understand their are various factors that determine someones weight, ie fit bloke with muscle or big built.

This is aimed at fatties, the obese, the ones that people look at open mouthed as most probably they are open mouthed too, but just because they are trying to wedge another big mack into their faces. Those ones that get the band fitted, dont do anything to help themselves. It's time to get harsh on these individuals.

Yes good idea, even better do it on body fat index, or whatever it's called

Now there's another Idea! What about Health and Safety? Eh? these individuals can be a risk not only to themselves, but to the like of me you and him

I say possibly introduce stringent Risk Assessments too for fatties.

All this measures when put into place, would also create jobs, help the economy it's the way to go

True.

Let's apply the same rules to smokers and drinkers as well. Since they can potentially be a risk to not only themselves but others to.

Let's not forget the old people who use mobility scooters on the pavement as well. Oh and cyclists. Heck, even drivers as well since they can all harm others.
