I have real issues with R3 during FPS games. I obviously am just too tense during any gun fight !!

The standard Sixaxis is much stiffer but mine is broken so cant use it.

Are there any decent 3rd party controllers that may be better for me that is not gonna break the bank ?

The issue is really starting to annoy and spoil the enjoyment of gaming

i have the same problem, over the years mines gotten slighty loose too, so half the time instead of aiming around when in a fight im meleeing (or worst) instead lol.

though i found a new official controller is fine, just over long term use that its started to wear down. will be intertesting to see if anyones found some stiffer third party ones.

From what I've heard a lot of the third party controllers have stiffer analogue sticks - possibly not always intentionally so though, often it just seems to be a case of poor build quality.

As Narrator says, however, buying a new official controller might be the solution as over the years the analogue sticks tend to loosen up.

I have recently opened my older DS3 to replace a battery while doing so i have superglued the analogue sticks into place.

After a while the slot wears giving a bit of play gluing it has made it feel like the new own recently purchased i only recommend doing it if your confidant to strip down a controller the L2/R2 buttons can be a pain to resit.

Got two DualShock 3 controls both are fine. Had one of them since December 2008 when I got the PS3 though occasionally the "X" button decides it's Spanish and goes for a siesta mid game

TBH, I am not sure mine have got any looser as I have the same issue on both of mine and always have

Tell it that it is beautiful as it is now and it shouldn't listen to those xbox controllers, they're just jealous.
