Anybody have LA Noire on PC? I've got it as a gift but have heard it's not greatly optimised.

Check to see if it needs an LAA patch up.

I didn't know about these things until skyrim and as you noticed last night, I was running one such patch created by the mod community.

Re: PC Gaming thread.

(Pathetic) Skyrim patch incoming.

Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz.
Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away.
Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead.
Dragon corpses now clean up properly.
Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack.
Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug.
Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely.
Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory.
Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor.
Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death.
ESC button can now be used to exit menus.
Fixed occasional mouse sensitivity issues.
General functionality fixes related to remapping buttons and controls.

In the grand scale of the buglist, they've fixed very little and things I didn't even think were bugs and yet haven't fixed any quest breaking bugs.

Re: PC Gaming thread.

Typical Bethesda tbh. There's still bugs and glitches present in Morrowind and Oblivion that they never bothered to fix, but yet the community managed to patch no problem.

Re: PC Gaming thread.

Yeah I can't complete the Golden Claw quest because I found the artifact before starting the quest. I really hope they sort this kind of issue out because it is annoying me seeing that quest there when all I have to do is take the Claw to the owner... unless somebody already knows who the owner is so I can just go and give it to him/her?

You need to take it to the general store in Riverwood.

Cheers mate, if they hadn't fixed the quests problem I would never have been able to finish the quest.

Humble Indie Bundle got updated to include Dungeons of Dredmor, which is FANTASTIC Roguelike, one of the best roguelikes in years, and has been receiving tonnes of free content updates from the devs, and has an expansion being released soon! Current average *required to get Aquaria CPD and DoD* is $3.75, which is about £2.50 aswell.

Aquaria
Crayon Physics Deluxe

Multiwinia

In conclusion, buy both bundles, for £5 in total, and get 12 games. This is why indie developers are awesome.
