Re: PC Support Available Here

Actually I think this thread is a good idea since we get loads of individuals coming on here with hundreds of random PC related problems. Why not keep it all in 1 thread. Since loads of you are really competent with such matters people should get the answers they need pretty quickly. I think we all consider ourselves fairly knowledgeable about PCs but we all have our ‘grey’ areas. Heck, even I discovered a problem on my PC this morning – every time I open any document with a video file in I get this Tried random things but can’t stop it from occurring! Any thoughts are welcome? I may be able to help, since I had this problem on my old PC. It's a problem that occurs when windows tries to display a preview of the video if I remember correct. You can either set the folders to display as a list (no previews) or check if you recently installed any codecs (mine was a new DivX codec). Also try google "disable video preview in windows".

Re: PC Support Available Here

I'm on Vista, it takes around 10 attempts to connect to my wireless when I first switch the laptop on, but if I leave it for a while before going on the internet it's fine.

sounds like the opposite of my internet, If you dont use it within the first 10 minutes of the computer starting up then it wont let you connect at all.
