I'm 15, but if I say that I have built the computer that I am typing this very message on from scratch (searched for all the components, made sure they were all compatible with each other, bought them and the put it all together), is that enough to show I have hardware knowledge?

And as to software, after I built this computer, I put an operating system and programs on it, and it still works fine to this day.

Right, here is one for you;

The laptop I own has recently has Windows XP reinstalled, and now the sound drivers arent working.

In other words it no longer allows anything to be played from its speakers.

download latest drivers, un-install current and then re-install latest

i build all mt own PC's and have for nearly 4 years now, have decent knowledge on components, im more hardware tho not software

Do you have the make and model for your laptop? if so, check the companies website to see if there is any mention of it there, as I cannot think of anything of the top of my head right now.
