We ask for the update of the PS3 web browser so that it allows us to enjoy our console.

Now the browser is completely obsolete and unusable.

Many are coming to support this cause, together we can make a difference.

Commendable, but unfortunately it will not work. People have been asking for this for a long time, Sony probably prefer to keep the status quo because it works out cheaper for them this way. It would also mean the PS3 doesn't damage sales of the Vaio and Bravia range... because the customer would get better internet on those.

Today is the browser that is abandoned.
Tomorrow will be any application abandoned.

If we do not expect, that will not change. The replacement for the PS3 is expected in four years from now we will have a bag of bones.

Today is the browser, and then tomorrow we remove VidZone VOD, the console should take another 4 years, by the we will have a bag of bones.

If Sony had a nice update to the console by integrating what everyone asks, Apps, mkv etc ... we speak notof the underground world of the PS3.
If people turn to custom firmware it is to recover the lost functionality.

Well they did put a browser in there, so in theory it should work like it says on the box.
