PS3 Voltage 220 to 110

5 Replies 632 Views Created 04-01-2009
Hey guys,
I've got a PS3 (40gb - Model NO. CECHH03), I bought it in London, and my system has a sticker that says that its voltage is 220 - 240v ~ 1.7A 50/60Hz and it was made in china, but i moved to Colombia and here the voltage is 110 - 120.
I've found in different forums that there is no problem if i change the cable cord for a latinoamerican ps3 one....
What should i do?
Do i have to change the cable cord or do i have to buy a voltage converter or should i just use an adapter?
thnks

I'm pretty sure you can just change the cable, the PS3 is designed for this, but i'm sure someone will correct me soon.

Yeah i'm pretty sure too, but u know! i might plug it in and then... Fried it up!! lol! i have seen a lot of info in unofficial PS3 forums and I also sent an email to PS support 2 days ago and i haven't got an answer.

they said that PS just use different stickers according the country, but inside is the same power supplied for all of them (110 ~ 240)...

thnks for ur info!

anyone with a 100% answer?
