Well after about five minutes of looking round I thought I had better note down some problems:

1. When updating my profile, I opted not to enter my Last Name. This produced an Error warning me that it was a required field. Surely this is a dangerous thing to be asking people to put into their public forum profiles?

2. Imported accounts still have all their old picture sig code in them, which looks a bit silly.

3. Many of the imported posts which contained UBB code have visible mark up in them making them look terrible.

4. When you go into the "User CP" there is no obvious link back to the main forums.

I changed my name a long time ago on the old forums from a large B to small, it hasnt been carried over, is there some way to change it?

Ummm, on the main link when you go to uk.playstation.com and click forums it doesn't let you access it - instead it says "community forums coming soon"...or something along those lines..

1. The Last name isn't visible to the public afaik. That's not a problem for me. (I think they have my details anyway).

4. Yeah, I noticed that too. It's a pain. I have to click the header image to get back to the forums.

The only fields that are public are your first name and your location - everything else is private. But you raise a good point - this isn't specifically mentioned so I'll change it to make things clear.

2. Imported accounts still have all their old picture sig code in them, which looks a bit silly.

This is due to the way the old forums handled signatures. When you added a signature to your post, it was treated as part of your post and not separate. So when we moved all of the posts over, the "signatures" were integral parts of the post and couldn't be separated out, unless we manually went through and edited every single post.

Yeah, I agree. We're trying to fix this atm.

Good point. Again, I'll try to implement a change to make this clearer.

In the meantime, you can either click on the Go Back () button or the main "PlayStation Forums" image in the top-left.
