Scotland Yard says a specialist operations officer has been suspended from duty following allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with the wife of Labour politician Alan Johnson.
What a joke. What this man does in his personal life that is well within the law should have zero consequence on his job, this is just yet another instance where anything related to politicians is shady.

You don't have to break the law to be suspended. And he should know better IMO
Can't agree there. Everybody should be treated equally on this. If I had an affair with somebody in work I would not be suspended, nor would you. Can't have rules for some but not others, that is corruption.

When it concerns a politician in a very important position, - the shadow chancellor- and it stops him from doing his job and having to resign, and it happened as part of a security detail assigned to the home sectertary which could undermine his and family security, then yes, this is fair action, the policeman his lucky not to be sacked.

So what about Bill Clinton ?...
sorry that doesn't really make sense. ha.
Affairs would be effectively outlawed? that doesn't make sense? its it right to go round having affairs? backwards middle east countries? it itsn't really a great example to set to others if you allow people to go round willy nilly having affair. Is it? The guy is right to be suspended. Alan johnson is a public figure, good at his job, and was vital in being apart of a shadow cabinet in opposition to the current government, on the biggest issue atm, the economy. He resigned, obvs because of this. Because of the affair, he felt he couldn't do his job. so left. You can't just go round having affairs, esepcially with public figures. If Cameron had an affair now, and it got leaked tomorow, he will have to resign. no doubt about it.

I am not saying it is right to go around having affairs. I am saying it is a personal matter. You could also say he resigned because he wasn't very good at his job, in contrast to your belief he was very good. Not really sure how you came to that conclusion but that is for another day, another topic.
Also if Cameron was having an affair I would give a hoot about it, I would blame the affair for his decision to put the taxes up and not many people would expect him to resign. Much like not many people expected Clinton to resign. Only those vehemtly against the person is question would expect that... I hate Cameron for beliefs to a little extent but what he does in personal life that conforms to law is his right. Yes, to answer your question... it is a right. You have a right to a relationship with a willing partner. Do you think differently? ![]()
