Hey, i have been trying to play Borderlands on my laptop today but when i play on 1920x1080 resulution it lags but when im doing normal stuff like browsing internet my screen is at 1920x1080 and it is fine. But it only laggs when playing games. Can anyone help me please

Lower the ingame resolution, that's a normal issue on pc/laptop gaming.

but it looks like a Gameboy game at lower res. Its not just 1920x1080 its all of the 1000+ res.

The ps3 wont even do games at that resolution, only a handfull are that res.

The simple fact is, just because your graphics card supports a resolution does not mean it will be able to render games in any sort of a fluid way at that resolution.

Either spend a couple of grand on a laptop, or get a pc to play it on, or play it on a lower res. there is nothing much you can do.

will there be any different if i plug it in my tv via hdmi?

No as it still requires your laptops graphics card and processor to run the game.
