Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48. She was pronounced dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles at 3.55pm (Eastern Time)

Whitney is famous for singing "I Will Always Love You"; a soundtrack from the movie she starred in called the Bodyguard; in which she was also famous for.

What a shame... but as englishgolfer said drugs got the better of her.

Weren't she supposed to be drug free? She stated that she was in a proir interview  of releasing 'Million Dollar Bill'

In fact Alcohol is a drug, and apprently its been reported that Thursday she drank heavily.

Its that and her years of stuggle of addiction with illegal drugs which is most likely the cause of death.

She might of taken pills whilst drinking? The rich and famous, number 1 way to die.

Early reports are that there was no evidence of drinking, she was found in the tub and prescription pills were found in her room. No illegal drugs were found.

If any of that is true then it's likely she fell asleep (aided by sedatives or something similar) and drowned.
