Re: Sleep ¬_¬

When I have to go into uni, I aim for about 6-8 hours sleep. Weekends, usually about 10 - 12 hrs.

I have had quite a few all nighters doing uni work (the max I have done is about 36-40 hrs straight without sleep) and it is an awful feeling. If you keep busy it isnt too bad, but its when you start to settle down when the tiredness hits you - and it really hits hard. Its when you start to feel a little groggy and you are regularly day-dreaming that you know you really need some sleep. Sleep deprivation sucks!

Re: Sleep ¬_¬

I normally get about 6 hours sleep a night and that is ok, but then I normally need 1/2 nights a week of about 9 hours sleep to kind of catch up.

I just go to bed too late to be honest.

Re: Sleep ¬_¬

I hate sleep.

For me it's an annoyance that is in the way of doing other things. Plus I view the concept of deliberately going to sleep as "giving in" because the next thing you'll be doing is waking up and going to work. Four to five hours is pretty normal for me, i'll feel pretty tired in the morning but it's worth it for having "more evening".

Re: Sleep ¬_¬

I had about about 50-60 hours or so of no sleep (two nights, basically).

I think I was either playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or Grand Theft Auto IV, or a bit of both, on PlayStation 3. This was a while back, two to three years ago or so.

I usually want about 8 hours of sleep though.

Sorry to hear that ash.

It's really annoying that during the week, I could stay in bed at least another few hours but have to get up for work. Then at the weekend, when I have the chance for a lie-in, I wake up early and end up getting out of bed earlier than during the week .

So bloody annoying !

Re: Sleep ¬_¬

Sleep is very important to me. I usually get about 8-9 hours per night as I just don't function properly the next day. I can be a real grump if I've been sleep-deprived!

Re: Sleep ¬_¬

I aim for seven hours.

Much less leaves me tired, but any more just seems pointless, we only get one chance to live and I'm gonna spend as much of it as is realistically and sensibly possible awake.

You can't enjoy sleep while you're asleep, lol, the only thing I like is on a weekend morning when you wake up but you just curl up and lie there for an extra half hour all snuggled up in your duvet, tis ftw.

But actually going back to sleep seems pointless. once you've had 6-7hrs, I could get up and do something useful.
