Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a new smartphone, but I really know nothing about them. I am in desperate need of some help!

Firstly, I have been looking at this one. However, as it is a moblie phone, do you need to put your own sim card in it? If you don't, how do you top the phone up, and do you make calls in the same way as a normal phone? And there are no monthly fees with Smartphones, are there?

Also, if you have any recommendations for a smartphone under £200, preferably with built in WiFi, and without any monthly fees, then that would be great! :smileyvery-happy:

Thanks in advance for any help guys!

for £270 if u can, you can get an Iphone direct from apple store.

Re: Smartphones...

Thanks for all the replies guys.

I think I'm looking at an iPhone now then! Anyone know where you can get the cheapest contracts from i.e. The one i will pay the least for over 12/18 months, as I don't use my phone that much.

Thanks again!

Re: Smartphones...

...Doesn't updating an unlocked phone brick it?

I'd recommend the original N95 as it can be expanded to 8GB through a memory card slot, they left the card slot off the 8GB version for some reason.

Ahh cool. Whats the SAT NAV on there like? Does it have a good refresh
rate? Also how much does it cost to use and can you use 3rd party
software?
