Re: Tattoo thread.

some tattoos look quite good but I think you should have a reason to have one or you are more likely to regret it later on. The "tramp stamp" IMO looks horrible or anything you do just to look cool or "look I'm soooo individual I have chinese writing on my shoulder"

Having one to remember a significant time or as an expression of who you are is fair enough but remember it lasts forever (in theory at least)

My Mum wanted to get one and asked my opinion and I was not bothered at all, but pointed out it lasts forever so think carefully about what you get. I was cool with her suggestion of perhaps a butterfly on the shoulder or something, instead she got her bf's nickname (and a stupid little rat picture thing) on her chest. I hate it.

I like the tramp stamp, gives me something to aim for when I pull out.

Re: Tattoo thread.

I often see people saying that they get tattoo's to remember things.

Do people have really have such bad memories that they need to permanently mark their skin? I can't help but think that a post-it note might be a more effective method.

You've got W's on your buttocks and bees on your knees? How much did they sting you for those?

Re: Tattoo thread.

Someone I know got 2 stars on her arm to commemorate the 2 miscarriages she had, I think it would be a horrible reminder every single day.

I could understand if you went travelling for a year or something and got a tattoo as a reminder of it while doing it though.

I don't think I've ever done anything for a year and then forgotten about it.

I bet you wish you could forget about that year in Thailand though...
