The BT iPlate

[ Edited ]

I know there've been threads [Including my own :smileytongue:] about this months ago, but I thought i'd bring it back up.

Basically it's a plate that fits onto your phone socket that'll speed up your connection over time by getting rid of old technologies from analogue phones that interfere with your ADSL Connection.

Just installed mine there after 5 months of 'i'll order it soon' :smileytongue:.

And within about 10 seconds I"m already nearly 1mbps up :smileyvery-happy:

If you can't read it then right click and copy the image's url then paste it in a new tab

P.S All tests from today were using the iPlate

Re: The BT iPlate

Just seen this on TV, they're calling it an 'accelorater'. Does it only work with BT broadband?

Re: The BT iPlate

Heh, I cheated, I contacted my ISP, they set my line so it's running "At it's fastest possible speed" and then I took off the bell wires and boom I had near on full speed :smileyvery-happy:

Did that a couple of years ago. (Before this fast plate thing was out), so in a way, I don't need it :smileyvery-happy:

Re: The BT iPlate

I'm on AOL and have noticed an overall difference since having the iPlate.

No more disconnections many times a day nor DNS errors. Not sure if that has anything to do with the iPlate, but it has only all stopped since installing it.
