The Best Media Player

Ill keep it short and simple :smileywink: For music on my PC i use iTunes, its great as it has everything you could possibly need for a music player and it looks far superior to everything else ive tried so far. However, it has 1 serious drawback, it uses a whopping 39,708 K of memory which, if you have a rather temperamental "hi-spec" PC, is not good news! What i need is a music player that has low memory usage but great all round features. Thanks in advance :Thumbs:

WinAmp people say is good....but I don't like it myself. I just stick to Windows Media Player and iTunes myself.

yeah, lots of people praise WinAmp but i cant really get used to it. WMP sucks imo tbh, but if its low on memory usage it looks like its gonna be a contender as it does have some useful features. I wish iTunes wasnt so processor intensive, 'cos when im attempting to run;
Photoshop
Firefox
Azureus
MSN Messenger
and
iTunes at the same time it gets a bit crowded! I mean Photoshop is no lightweight on the processor either and having Azureus on is a neccesity!

http://www.foobar2000.org/ And swap Azureus out for something like uTorrent if you're so bothered about resource hogging programs.

Re: The Best Media Player

I just use Windows Media Player for videos and music sometimes, and WinAmp for music most of the time. I don't really use any other media players except for
RealPlayer when I only have .rm files and not .avi etc which WMP can play.
