Re: The Retro Corner

[ Edited ]

I wonder how good everyones gaming history is.

2 Questions.

1. What was the one big difference between Mortal Kombat on the Megadrive and the SNES.

2. Street Fighter 2 was released on the SNES and the Megadrive. The SNES version had both the original and Turbo and the Megadrive version only had the Championship edition. Only the Megadrive version was considered a TRUE port of the arcade classic. List the 4 reasons why.

Re: The Retro Corner

1. I'm pretty sure one of the versions had blood with the other being censored. I think it was the megadrive version that was uncensored?

Re: The Retro Corner

I think the most retro I go is either Sonic on the...er ... Megadrive? That I played round a friends after primary school and Gameboy.

Though I'd like to mention a PC game called Crystal Rainforest, or something similar. I spent most of the day in the library, so this kept me amused for ages!

Yup! The megadrive version was uncensored, but only with a cheat code entered at the start.

Any guesses on question 2?

Re: The Retro Corner

I don't know whether anyone can remember this console, but I once had an Atari Jaguar:

It was a good machine, but it didn't sell very well.

I also owned a Sega Saturn:

One of the games I loved the most on the Sega Saturn was Virtua Fighter 2. Great game :smileyhappy:
