Does it possibly have something to do with product placement being visible in the next part?

I know Channel 5 flash up a 'P' on certain shows and as far as I'm aware it means you're about to be stealthily advertised at.

I think the E may be something to do with Product Placement but as I don't really watch much "live" TV it probabaly whizzed by during fast forward.
