The word (PURCHASED) is misleading to consumers.

A list of comprising things, that you've bought... but haven't.
  • CAR:  you buy the car for large sums of money only for it to be scrapped by DVLA if you miss paying insurance or tax. Constently getting hounded by councils if parked in a funny position and involuntary police checks. Now who owns the car?
  • TV: you can watch Television initially, but the constant hounding from TV Licensing puts you in court if you miss payments. Subscription service implies that you pay three times over for the same product. 3x TV, License and Subscription. Bring on renting!
  • The house: everything in the house should be inclusive when you buy the house. Land Tax, Water bills, gas and electricity. It's yours... I now, but paying for the extras weekly put it in the "Not Yours" category.
  • Things that should be inclusive
  • Microsoft products. Okay no initial purpose for this other than you're hooked for the majority of the computers lifespan. endless repurchasing, subscription and updating. You might aswell have the Microsoft boss staying at your house. :Ninja:
  • 3rd generation of gaming, You purchase the game, purchase online, purchase DLC and updates. From 1st generation you only had to purchase the game, now you purchase the office.
  • 3D TVs: As mentioned above + having to buy glasses and 3D content, just to view 3D. A normal Television, just with the wrong label. Not 3D after-all. :xCry:
Well the list is endless and I could go on but I don't want to. so I leave it up to you.
  • Name the things that you've bought and whether they' have ties attatched to it i.e subscription
  • Name items you bought 2-4x over for the same product.
  • and lastly; list the items that should've been inclusive but wasn't.

  • Things that should be inclusive
  • Microsoft products. Okay no initial purpose for this other than you're hooked for the majority of the computers lifespan. endless repurchasing, subscription and updating. You might aswell have the Microsoft boss staying at your house. :Ninja: I actually agree with this one, Microsoft needs to get it right the first time for Windows. But you should still have to buy Office etc but again, they should get it right the first time.
  • 3rd generation of gaming, You purchase the game, purchase online, purchase DLC and updates. From 1st generation you only had to purchase the game, now you purchase the office.  What office?
  • 3D TVs: As mentioned above + having to buy glasses and 3D content, just to view 3D. A normal Television, just with the wrong label. Not 3D after-all. :xCry: But there is 3D for 3DTV and they ain't gonna gift you every Blu-Ray or they would go bust

This is the way the world works, complaining about it won't change a thing.

Re: The word (PURCHASED) is misleading to consumers.

I walk down to the bus stop, I see a bus, I put my hand out and it stops, I get on, I give the driver money. Do I own the Bus??? NO the bus can be taken away at any time.

I go down the city, go into the hair dressers, ask him for short back and sides, he cuts my hair and I give him money.. Do I own the hair style? NO it soon grows and I am left with nothing, Rented would be better.

You purchase a bus ticket which entitles you to ride on the bus.

You purchase the time and services of the hairdresser while he/she cuts your hair.

  •

You own the car but the government reserve the right to confiscate it if you don't pay taxes to use their roads and facilities or fine you if you used them improperly. If you tell the government that the car isn't being used on roads you don't have to pay them a penny.

  •

You own the TV, not the signal you're watching on it, if you show the government it isn't recieving a broadcast signal, you don't have to pay TV licence.

  • The house: everything in the house should be inclusive when you buy the house. Land Tax, Water bills, gas and electricity. It's yours... I now, but paying for the extras weekly put it in the "Not Yours" category.

You own the house, not it's water, gas and electricity supplies.

What repurchasing, what subscription? Personally I'm greatful for updates, all modern software gets updated to improve functionality. You only have to pay for online features on a small proportion of second hand games as none of the money you paid for the game went to the developer, although I do kind of disagree with this. What's wrong with paying for extra content? I disagree with it though if it's supplied on the disc and you have to pay to unlock it.

  • 3D TVs: As mentioned above + having to buy glasses and 3D content, just to view 3D. A normal Television, just with the wrong label. Not 3D after-all. :xCry:
  •

You're paying for a TV capable of displaying 3D, you then have to pay for the 3D content, just as you have to pay for 2D content.

You seem to just want something for nothing, which isn't how the world works, it would be uneconomical and you would ultimately get nothing.
