... Home Virtual Realiity Machine!
I love my PS3 - so don't get me wrong.
I am 29 years old now. I grew up in the 80's & 90's.
I remember shows like GamesMaster, promising us by the year 2001 we will all be playing 'Virtual Reality' games! I remember it well.
Also do you remember in Back To The Future Part II, the little kid says to Marty McFly: "Video games that you use your hands for are for babies" (Or words to that effect).
The PS3 & Xbox uses 'Joy Pads' the same way as my old Atari 2600 did way back when! (Obviously the PS3 is far more advanced than the 2600 but it is the same animal in principal)
So what ever happened to the Future?
Anyone else ever wonder about this?

I was born early 90's so i can't help you out on your future but i think home public beta is coming Q4 (rumours?)
Anyway how else would you want to play video games? with your mind? the equipment would be quite expensive though...

What I am saying is that if you grew up say 10-20 years ago and listened to what was said in Movies, Media and by so called experts is that 'Virtual Reality' would be common place in the home by now.
Anybody used to watch 'Tomorrows World' on the BBC??
BTW I use the term Virtual Reality loosely, I mean 'Futuristic Entertainment'. Something other than Joy Pad + Screen.
Where is the future world that was portrayed to me when I was young?

Tomorrows world.... Great stuff. I remember when they predicted the channel tunnel completion date... About 15 years earlier than the actual date.....
