This bed makes itself in 50 seconds

This is a dream come true for anyone who hates making the bed. That would be all of us. This bed will make itself in just 50 seconds. It comes from Spanish furniture maker OHEA.

It’s the kind of bed James Bond might have.

The bed will release a small mechanical arm from a hidden area on the side while two rollers pull the cover or duvet up to the head of the bed. Just like that your bed is made. The pillows are also taken care of and straightened by cords attached to the pillowcases and they are elevated during the bed making process.

When the cover is straight, the pillows fall back into place. Freshly made bed. Taken care of by the bed itself.

Who cares about a bed being made up anyway? You get out of it in the morning and don't need to look at it again until you go back to bed and pull the cover over you again, stupid waste of time.

But then you end up in the situation where part of the duvet is scrunched up inside the cover. Resulting in one part where there's duvet and the other just the duvet cover.

Yea that is annoying but I just think give it a quick shake before bed time, no need to mess around on a morning sorting it like women do.

That sounds rude.

Don't worry, I never make it either. It's not like anyone else sees my bed, so as you do, I just shake the duvet out when it gets tangled up, but I take it off and clean it once a week anyway.

Watched Embarrassing Bodies the other day where people admitted to cleaning their bed sheets like every few months, some even twice a year, some even once a year, and some even never in a few years.

I don't know how anyone would feel happy in such dirty sheets. I could never let that happen because of my asthma. Used to have to freeze my teddies when I was a kid because I also had really bad eczema.

I can't imagine you'd be able to wrap yourself up like a cocoon if the duvet has to be hooked up to those little hooks all the time. It'd be fine if you just hooked it up in the morning, but the time you spend hooking it up, you may as well just make the bed yourself.

I can't understand why someone would go to all the trouble of creating something like that, only to use cheap labelling for the automatic/manual control that's lopsided ?

If you made your bed like that in the army, youd probably be brought outside and shot.

If making your bed is just pulling the covers up straight, it will take you 15 seconds to do it, the machine takes longer?

Surely the bed is useful for other things? Guess you are just getting a bit old Warren. :smileytongue:
