That doesn't matter much with the crap that people write on Twitter. Nobody reads most of it anyway.

I despair at the idea of people folllowing each other's drivel just to increase their own follower count, especially given that most of it seem to be private messages to other users. It's like stopping a stranger in the street and offering to listen to them talking on a mobile phone, if they listen to you talking on yours in return. And then arranging to regularly meet up for mutual listening sessions, and each proudly awarding themselves an extra phone-listening point to climb the social hierarchy of listeners.

If that's your twitter summary I'd love to see facebook because that site is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. (just a notch above 4chan in my opinion)

Indeed: it's the same raw human sewage flowing through the gutters of the internet but with more pressure to pretend that you like  stuff that you really couldn't give a toss about, mostly from 'friends' that you've never met and probably never will.

It's only a matter of time before they have to build a gossip-and-drivel layer into the IP transmission specification to segregate it from anything that might be useful.

Twitter has half an hour lifespan, anything older than half an hour probably wont get read, at least not directly read.
