Re: Walking

16 miles is insane.

I'm doing about 2.5km an evening.

I did a 6km walk round a lake the other week and it almost killed me! XD

I am very lucky where I live. Lots of parks and trees. Nice neighbourhoods and safe roads.

Only downside is a lack of pavements, they just don't really have them where I live in the suburbs, only on the main roads.

Is anyone else a walker?

I recently started walking to get fitter and healthier and lose some weight.

I am averaging about 5kmh which is about 3mph i think. Which I would like to bump up a bit as I get fitter. I made a nice route that takes half an hour and it's nice to do a little excercise.

Anyone?

Yeah I am but you've spelled it wrong.

have you got a gif of it?

Think you've already seen it, but here it is again. Some imagination required

Re: Walking

I walked alot more a few years ago, brought the dog on two hour walks every evening  I really should get back into it.  Just working in town is a killer though because I have to get the bus and by the time I get home I do be like a bull (walking for a bit might actually be good for this)

Re: Walking

If anyone saw the thread me showing off my blister would know I like walking, my feet are in incredibly bad shape so I am resting them for a bit.

The main reason for me for walking is the buses are too damn expensive, £3.70 for a bus ticket! they treat me like I hide golden ponies and eat ferrero rosher everyday,  plus all the time I spent waiting for it to come I could of walked there myself.

i was the same

too exspensive so i walked everywhere , good excersise and save a fortune  but not now

15 screws and a couple of plates in the leg and walking any distance is not a good combination and hurts like hell after 10 20 mins

What about cycling, have you tried that? may make your bones ache a little less.
