If anyone saw the thread me showing off my blister would know I like walking, my feet are in incredibly bad shape so I am resting them for a bit.

The main reason for me for walking is the buses are too damn expensive, £3.70 for a bus ticket! they treat me like I hide golden ponies and eat ferrero rosher everyday,  plus all the time I spent waiting for it to come I could of walked there myself.

i was the same

too exspensive so i walked everywhere , good excersise and save a fortune  but not now

15 screws and a couple of plates in the leg and walking any distance is not a good combination and hurts like hell after 10 20 mins

What about cycling, have you tried that? may make your bones ache a little less.

I use to cycle until my back wheel got nicked, its worthless I didnt see the point.

What, cycling or your bike?

I will fix it for two pop tarts. One for me, and one for Sneaky giving me the idea.

Surely it stopped the rear part of the frame from dragging along the ground?

Re: Walking

Walking never really did anything for me fitness wise, I have to break into a sweat and get my heart going fast before I get fitter or lose my fat gut. Cycling does it for me, I can't run these days as I'm not fit enough and can't be bothered with it.

Re: Walking

I walk an average amount, like up stairs, to the car, around the place, but I live in a city and walking around traffic is debatable about being good or bad for you, same as cycling.

I used to cycle 17 mile or so twice a day, but that was in my bedroom on a static bike.

Re: Walking

I don't do leisure walks since I get bored. But I do walk if I can get there within reasonable time or not in a hurry.
You can't save time only spend it.
