You need to get it Tech 2'd... some franchises will do it for free because it's a one minute job. :smileywink:

Have you considered the Fiesta? Great little cars, totally underhyped and the modernish ones all have that quick defrost thing on their windscreen which is actually very handy for long term engine health. It is generally a bad idea to let the car engine warm quicker than the drive train so Ford's windsceen system quickly gets rid of ice, allowing you to move the vehicle when both engine and drive train are the same temperature and thus, they warm up together.

The engine prefers that, not sure of the exact reason why but it might be something to do with the flow of oil if it circulates down in to the drive chain as well.

Re: What car do u drive ?

Yea heated windscreens are really good, once you have a car with one fitted you will never want to go back.

It was a Ford invention too.

They have it patented which is why many major car manufacturers don't have it. Ford are not stopping them using it though, the others are just not willing to stump up the cost of using it which is rediculously greedy when consider we the facts.

Let's say you were to buy a brand new car and the list price is £20000, you can barter that down to about £14000 if you have Speach level 100 which goes to show how much money they are making on the car itself. They could potentially pay Ford for this feature and still keep the list price of the car at £20000 because the American giant would not demand anywhere near £1000 per car, let alone £6000!

Re: What car do u drive ?

The old fiesta is too small and the newer ones are a bit out of my price range. I do like the new ones though had one as a hire car a few months ago when I had to go up to shrewsbury on business.

I want a 1.4 diesel because of the fuel efficiency, need to be able to get 2 dogs in the back (with the seats down) but can't be too big so have room to park it on the driveway.
