What car?

For a first car to learn in and use after i pass. I have £1650 to spend. Which out the following would be the best choice:

Vauxhall Corsa
Renault Clio
Fiat Punto

I'll need:

No more than a 1.25 engine, 1.0 would do.
Power assisted steering
Drivers air bag
5 door (preferably)
Manual
Petrol

And thats about it. Which would be the best? Please reply.

Re: What car?

The corsa is the best out of the ones listed. Clio, unless youre going for the sportier models, i would avoid them, and Fiat? unless its a pretty new one, and you were sure its been maintained to a high standard, avoid it. If I were you id think about a ford aswell, a Toyota, and maybe a Honda or a Mitsubishi, I dont know about honda or mitsubishi for 1.2 or lower though. But they are pretty bullet proof to be honest.

I hate the look of them except the very latest ones (out price range)

Golf FTW!!

Insurance too high

Are they? What Car gave it a 2/5 if i remember correctly due to a bad driving position which cant be changed, plus they are getting on a bit.

Re: What car?

Me say go with a Corsa, t'is what I'm using. They're are easy to drive, and fairly cheap to run.

Re: What car?

I've got a Corsa B, 1.2 16v 3dr it's a nice little car and not too bad on the insurance either. It's been quite reliable so far, no major problems and its a nippy little thing aswell (not that i'd know :Scared: ).

Re: What car?

Don't buy a peugeot or renault. They're not terribly reliable.
