Need some laptop advice ![]()
I am student that needs a new laptop, I hope you guys can help me make a decision.
Basically it needs to be
- Not too big and heavy so its easy to cary arround
- Descent build quality
- Good baterry life
- Betwen £300 and £1000
- The more powerfull the better too ![]()
So does anyone one know a laptop that fits that profile? or does anyone have one that they would recomend? or is all of the above even possible to find in a laptop ![]()
EDIT: I dont really like netbooks ![]()

No idea I have a Sony Vaio, I'd recommend one of those.
Which model have you got?
I have been looking at those Vaios, when i found a nice one I looked at the price and neraly fell off my chair
Is the build quality any good?
I am asking because the laptop i currently have (Acer Aspire 6920) is not great.
I have never droped it and there are cracks everywere and I have had a lot of problems with hardware

Pro is more powerful, Air is easier to carry around.
I have a MacBook Pro and found it incredibly easy to change from Windows to OSX, after a few hours it just felt natural. The build quality excellent, a lot better than laptops I have previously had. I usually get around 3-5 hours battery, depending on what I am doing/the brightness etc.
Obviously they are a lot more expensive than other laptops though.

Oh and iPad 1st gen and an iPhone 4... So as you can see I don't like Apple ![]()

Toshiba Qosmio x775,
You will be able play crysis, team fortress 2, fallout 3, while running two tabbed up browsers and watching a bluray on full hd all at the same time without it skipping a beat.
