I need to get a new phone and ive got my eye on the Sony Ericcson Aino.

Or are there better phones out there?

B.T.W i dont like iphones as i feel there really expensive and overated.

The Aino looks good but Sony Ericssons are now deemed pretty unreliable, my freind had his replace 9 times during his previous contract...

I would reccomend either a Nokia, Samsung or even an LG

iPhone 3Gs all the way. They're definitely not over-hyped, and to be honest on contract they're not badly priced. They're the benchmark of all mobiles now. Every phone that comes out now, especially the new nokia, are just copying the iPhone. The nokia, shamelessly so. It's amazing Apple haven't sued them yet because it's the BIGGEST rip off I've seen in decades. 

Seriously look into them. You won't regret one

I would recommend the iphone or the HTC hero. Both are really good.

It just annoys me that they say "the only handset you will ever need" then two months later its "new improved iphone with smudgeproof screen"

If money is not an option then the iPhone is a contender, but if you want value for money don't touch it with a barge poll

Well... There is such a thing as marketing? Of course they're going to bring out new models with new features. It's called good business. But to be honest, it seems for now the 3Gs has everything you need out of a phone anyway. Even the 3G! If you're really upright about EVERY little feature, then you need a life, really.  

 I mean really, the amount it can do for you, it is the only handset you'll need.
